REVIEW – The Nodus Compact Coin Wallet is a genuinely nice slim wallet that throws in RFID shielding as a bonus. The build quality and materials feel top-notch, and the only real knock against it is the price tag.
Unboxing
Right out of the box, the Compact Coin shows up in packaging that lives up to the quality of the product itself: a plain kraft box with the Nodus logo pressed into the lid, no flash needed.
Open it up and the wallet rests inside a charming little drawstring pouch, sitting on a card explaining the leather itself.

Build and Materials
Soft and supple to the touch, the Compact Coin’s Italian leather still feels remarkably tough. Woven into the material is Nodus’ RFID shielding tech, which stops thieves from scanning any RFID-enabled credit cards kept inside.
Card Slots and RFID Shielding
Two outer sleeves sit flush against the body of the wallet, empty here, ready for whichever cards get pulled out most often.
Those outer sleeves make it simple to reach the cards used often, or the RFID-enabled cards that need to stay easy to scan rather than shielded.
Living With It
A couple of weeks of daily use later, the Compact Coin has become a fixture in the every day carry rotation. It still catches me off guard how neatly it slips into a front pocket and how much it can pack inside.
Here’s the ironic and irritating catch with the Compact Coin: it’s genuinely bad at holding coins. Drop any coins into the section built for them and the smallest bit of jostling scatters them across the rest of the wallet.
The key compartment earns its keep far better, letting you carry a single emergency key at all times. A full vehicle key is a shade too big for it, but a house key or anything smaller slides in perfectly.
No matter how hard I tried to stuff the wallet with credit cards and a pile of shopper loyalty cards, the zipper and the material around it kept everything important locked safely inside.
Four colors are on offer for the Compact Coin: Chestnut Brown, Ebony Black, Dark Teal, and Taupe Grey. Nodus backs the wallet with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty covering material and manufacturing defects, provided it’s used normally and for its intended purpose.

The Verdict
Put me down as a big fan of the Nodus Compact Coin Wallet. It holds a huge amount of stuff, the build quality is top-notch, and if keeping RFID-enabled cards protected is a priority, this one’s a winner. Just don’t count on the Coin to haul around a bunch of coins.
